- A month
long visit to Korea without visa is commonly
allowed
for citizens of many nations, such as US, Canada,
and some European nations. However, there
are several notable exceptions, and we advise
you to check with local consular offices
ahead of time.
- For ground transportation from the Inchon(Seoul) airport, we recommend taking
buses, which are sometimes referred to as "Limousines".
Airport to KIAS
At the airport, take a Limousine bus # 6002 at the bus stop #5B or #12A, and
get off at its last stop Cheongryangri Station (fare: 9,000 won or 7 USD). It
will take about 80-90 minutes. Then, change into a taxicab (fare: about 3,000
won) for a 10 minute drive to KIAS., please print out "Driving
Instruction
to KIAS (for Taxi)" and show it to your taxi
driver. You can point the driver to the "dorm" in the map.
Airport to Koreana Hotel:
The Koreana Hotel is
located in the center of Seoul, and you can find a number of tourist
attractions, e.g., old palaces, commercial districts, within a walking distance.
In order to get to the Hotel, I suggest that you better take a Limousin, rather
than a Taxi, which is quite comfortable and convenient.

Limousine
Take the KAL Limousin Bus bound
for 'Seoul City Hall' at Incheon International Airport (Route name is 'Seoul
City Hall' and the bus stop at the airport is '4B' or '11A' on the first floor).
This bus will lead you directly to the front gate of the hotel. The fee is
14,000 Korean Won, and the bus runs every 20 minute. It will take about 80
minutes from the airport to the hotel. The first bus from the airport runs at
05:25 and the last one from the hotel runs at 18:35. List of stations that the
bus passes through is as following (Incheon airport > Seoul Plaza Hotel >
Lotte Hotel > The Westin Chosun Seoul (Hotel) > Koreana Hotel >
Seosomun KAL building > Bestwestern Seoul Garden Hotel > Incheon airport).

2. Taxi
If
you have heavy luggage, we suggest that you take a taxi. There are two different
types of taxis. One is medium-sized taxi and the other is deluxe taxi
(black-colored). In case of the former, it will cost about 52,000 Korean Won
from the airport to the hotel including toll fee (7,400 Korean Won). In case of
deluxe taxi, it will cost about 72,000 Korean won including toll fee (7,400
Korean Won). However, the cost depends on the traffic condition. Please
print out this and show it to a taxi driver,
who will then know where you are headed.
Airport to Holiday Inn:
An airport bus stops right in front of
the hotel Holiday Inn Seongbuk (Not to be confused with
Holiday Inn Mapo). At the Inchon airport, go to bus stops 3B or 10B, and look for a
sign with destination to "Dobong, Gangbuk, Seongbuk, Dongdaemun, Seong-dong." The
fare is13,000 won (13 US Dollars). The 7th stop in Seoul is designated as
"Holiday Inn Seongbuk." See "Airport
